I agree the hawks have some issues. But look at the positives. Other Central teams are having really rough offseasons. |

OUtstanding blog JJ. Hopefully the Hawk faithful let Rocky hear it and he is receptive. Change needs to be made, just because of the indian head on the sweater does not mean there need to be too many Chiefs and not enough indians. In 2 1/2 years this has gone from a Stanley Cup contender, to 1st round exits. Positive changes need to be made, and holes/weeknessnes need to be addressed.
I won't be at the conference, but this is for you Stan

Yes the rest of the Central has handed the division title to the Blues. Congrats! |

I agree with JJ. Right now the FA period the Bowmans get a F. They sighned a 6-7 defenseman, and have not come close to addressing the teams problems. Doan isn't coming, and there are a ton of 3 rd tier players you would think have signed by now. We should thank our lucky stars that we still have Jamal Mayers. The BH are dead in the water. |

Wow Kompon found another job, looks like the Hawks won't ever score more than two goals a game, and get ready for the PP that will never produce. Really feel for you guys you're in trouble with that guy, he can't make in game adjustments or even between game adjustments.
The Kings only became better after Sutter made him the in-game interview monkey and ran the offense for him.
Again really feel for you in Chicago too bad. |

We assumed as much, but good to know. I guess Q was looking for balance, since he already has Kitchen to guarantee the defense can't improve. |

I wont be at the Convention/ I wont be trying to buy tickets for this team.
They are what they are ..... A rudderless ship floating into the abyss with no direction.
It is sad how the mighty have fallen.
Rocky better wake up and clean house |

Maybe it's some kind of new fangled hands off coaching approach. |

Kind of figured this is what was coming from you JJ. Damn glad you wrote it! Just wish it was not needed. What a shame how the Hawks have gone from top of hill to 2 miles below it in 2 short years. I guess something could happen in the next 2 months to change how we Hawks fans feel, but I doubt it. Man am I just disappointed!! I thought after 2010 we all would be excited each and every year for the start of the season. Looks like it will be the same as before. Crap!! Rocky should be embarrassed! |

We already have the PP that never scores...obviously this won't help, but there's no way it can get worse,we already have Tampon's mentors. |

I have heard:
Winnik
Torrey Mitchell
Konopka
McClement
Nash was asked by Howson to put them back on his "list" and he refused |

"Today, after two consecutive first round playoff exits, they appear to be in disarray, with rumors circulating that, among other things, they are no longer an organization that other players want to play for."
Was hoping you'd talk about the "why" of this - FO? Locker room? Chicago's murde rate? The hot summer?
Did Q really give up the Montreal job because he was promised the kind of team he could win with? Winding up with this? Is this what HE considers a contending team?
Do they all know how much has to go right (without anything going wrong) for this team to contend? How many players have to consistently do what they haven't yet been able to do for a full season? |
